The AC ELWA 2 from my-PV (MPN: 16-0150 ) is a 3.5 kW, flexibly controlled water heater for grid-connected PV systemsthe successor to the ELWA-E uses surplus photovoltaic energy to optimize your self-consumption and increase self-sufficiency. This automatically reduces your operating costs. Thanks to the infinitely variable control, the surplus energy is used optimally. Even when there is little sunshine, it ensures a constant supply of hot water by using the public power grid. The device can be installed in both hot water and buffer storage tanks. The my-PV Cloud is available to help you keep track of everything and respond quickly. In off-grid applications, the ELWA 2 can operate in frequency mode. It is compatible with leading brands such as Victron Energy, Growatt, Huawei, Studer, and SMA.

…with WiFi Meter
In combination with the my-PV WiFi Meter, the AC ELWA 2 uses only the surplus energy from your photovoltaic system. The heating element regulates its output continuously, so that almost no energy is fed into the grid and your own consumption is maximized. The connection to the router is easy via a patch cable or wirelessly via WLAN.
… with battery storage
The water heater is compatible with many well-known battery storage systems and optimizes the use of your PV yield. First, the battery storage is charged. Once it is full, the AC ELWA 2 efficiently stores the surplus energy as hot water. Water is a particularly cost-effective storage medium and can be ideally supplemented with chemical storage batteries. This way, the electricity you generate stays with you and is not fed into the grid.

Thanks to its open system control, the AC ELWA 2 can communicate seamlessly with commercially available smart home and energy management systems. Your smart home system takes over the control, so that even complex controls with priority settings for different consumers are possible.
