Traditional controllers are designed for stationary, unshaded environments, which rarely reflect the reality aboard a boat or motorhome. MoonRay is developed to handle real-world conditions, ensuring reliable performance even in the constantly changing weather across Europe. It excels where other controllers struggle, far from the controlled conditions of laboratory tests.

Parallel or Series Connection
MoonRay stands out for its versatility and flexibility, as it is not restricted to either series or parallel configurations. However, it performs exceptionally well in parallel setups, where it can fully take advantage of the benefits of parallel wiring to extract the highest possible charge.

Beyond the increased charging efficiency, parallel wiring also extends the lifespan of solar panels compared to series wiring, making it the recommended choice.

Installation Tips
Easy Connectivity: Multiple MoonRay controllers can be connected in parallel to manage multiple panels and increase total charging efficiency.
Pre-Set Profiles: Adjust charging profiles via the LCD screen. Advanced settings require the Bluetooth module and app.
Install Close to the Battery: A short, thick cable is essential for optimal performance.
Use Marine-Grade Cables: In boats, always use tinned copper cables. Adjust cable thickness as needed along the installation.
Optimize Bluetooth Placement: Since the controller is installed near the battery, Bluetooth reception may be weak. The Bluetooth module can be relocated using the included 2m cable or a standard Cat6 network cable.
Temperature Sensor: Includes a wireless temperature sensor (not required for lithium batteries).
Moisture Protection: Wall-mount with cables facing downward for drip protection.
